June 28th 2015

So this week was pretty hard week, our investigator who was really wanting to be baptized passed away because of a heart attack and that surprised me and really made me think.. why would heavenly father take his life away if he was going to be baptized? But obviously he has a better plan for him, we attended his funeral yesterday and today was the day me and him were supposed to play basketball but thats okay I know he is in the lords hands now! But the blessings of this week is that we have now three new investigators and two of which went to church on sunday so that was huge for us! .......so this week has been rougher but I am constantly praying and reading and its strengthened my testimony so that is another blessing! I am excited for Taylor and Katey that should be a way fun place to go but tell them to not go to costa rica but come to the Philippines haha! jk Anyways other than that not much happening, I went to the gym this morning at 5 and my comp is weak and i was doing another work out and he started dropping the weight so a girl ran over and helped him lift hahahahhahaha I was dying when I saw that!:) it feels good to start getting back into better shape! idk if i have pics but i will check and see! anyways love you all and hope all is well tell the family I love them and miss them and am excited to hit my year mark out here haha! :) mahal kita, Nagmamahal Elder Herrin aka Chris farley

Dear Nanay aka Mom, I am getting transferred back to Lucena but a different area called Mauban!!!:) I am still with the same comp and we are reopening which is always hard but I am happy to see a new are even tho I absolutely love Mindoro!  Kumusta ang pinsan namin?? I said hows our cousins haha!...I did some acting in front of a ton of missionaries and our president it was scary haha but I killed it!  Love you all and I have a ton of pics to send so hold on!:) Love Elder Herrin aka pony boy haha!
Dad,  I am transfered again this is my fourth area and not even a year out on the mission haha! I love it but its sad cause i love mindoro i sent a ton of pics so hopefully you get those! Love you guys and enjoy vacation! I am doing well and am excited for my new area, I talked to a pretty cute american girl at church not to long ago so that was a first american girl I have talked to in forever haha! anyways love you guys and tell me how good I look in the photos hahaha love you  and the work is progressing But I have to leave this area which is hard and sad but its okay!:) Love Elder Herrin aka Pony Boy

June 1st and 7th, 2015

June 7, 2015...So a good week, but we might have to drop some investigators just cause they arent improving! But we did manage to get some new ones and have been blessed a ton so its been good!  I am well sun burnt again but fine! the Elder in the hospital had a minor heart attack and went back to the main island now! I love it here in mindoro and love my district and zone I get a long well with all of them..  I will send some fun pics of mindoro for you, its such a beautiful place!:) anyways I read the book of mormon everyday this week and am almost out of 3 nephi! I love all the members here and they also love me a lot, we have a lot of laughs haha! Tell taylor congrats and that I love him and am excited for him! anyways I will send pics right now love Elder Herrin aka captain ron haha

June 1 2015....So book or mormon reading has been good and I have really learned a ton since ive been reading and its great!.... So we went to the beach today and it was pretty fun, we played rugby and football and just played games! I got sun burnt and hurt haha but I am okay! Lots of little tender mercies this week and something cool we had to take our shoes and socks off and cross a river to get to out investigator so it was pretty cool and fun! I slept in a hospital last night because a missionary was sick so we went and visited.. it was fun but I slept maybe two hours because it was cold and I slept on the hard floor with my pants as a pillow haha it sucked! And the nurse kept coming in and checking on the Elder through out the night haha! I still feel famous here everyone asks me can I take a picture with you or ask for a high five or just laugh and gigle and call me handsome when I walk by haha! anyways I will try to send pics right now so love you and thank you for all you do mom, tell everyone I love them and miss them and our extended family tell them I love them all very much! Just tell them to love everyone they meet no matter the circumstance and tell them how happy I am for them and that I will miss them and love them very much! and to just trust in the lord and he will provide! they are on his errand

May 24th, 2015....Haha thats awesome, its so crazy to see my brothers getting married and to see everyone growing up, its bitter sweet haha! but I have to show you this picture, she has such great faith and it almost makes me cry. her house is torn up and small and a tarp covers the area where she sleeps at night, she is an amazing woman and thanks Heavenly father so much, she can't read the Book of mormon because her eye sight is bad and hearing is hard but she told us when we taught her she could here a small voice and I almost cried! I will send pics of her and her house right now! Tell taylor and katey I love them both and am super happy for them, tell them congrats! I am going to send pics in a minute! love you all and know I am doing good, I have been keeping me and my comp alive on the money you sent me so thank you, and know that we truly are a blessed family and the lord has blessed us greatly!!  So also that little boy with us in that pic, he has a bunch of bottles him and his family collects that are old oil bottles, he takes them from the trash and uses the left over oil then cleans the bottles and sales them to have them refiled with oil! Its honestly so heart breaking to see how different people have to live!

May 17, 2015..... I am doing well trying to study and learn more everyday!...many blessings this week but no new investigators coming to church, we had one lesson last night and the lady started crying and it was really spiritual, she asked why the lord gave her the child and we told her that the lord blessed her with a child and it was amazing really!:) ......Have another good week and count your many blessings and tender mercies!:) Tell me when taylors video is up so I can check it out!:) Love Elder Herrin sending pics soon! aka tarzan
